"Pyramid Press have been our preferred printer for a number of years now. Both ourselves and our clients are very impressed with the quality of the printed material they produce and the superior level of service they provide"
We certainly made an ‘Impact’ with our new client.
It’s always great to work with new clients, especially when they feedback how they enjoyed working with us.
“Pyramid Press were incredibly helpful at every step of the process, making time to show us around, explain every detail to us and really supported us in our decision process. As a student magazine, it is particular important to us to constantly improve but at the same time keep the feel and style cohesive over the years. Pyramid Press has helped us achieve that. We would like to thank Jas Sandhu in particularly and the entire team for being so patient, efficient and most importantly of all honest. “ IMPACT Magazine.

We invest a lot of time and effort in our Apprenticeship Scheme. It is always pleasing to see how our apprentices grow in confidence and add real value to Pyramid.
Reece, our I.T Apprentice, has excelled and his hard work has been rewarded by being shortlisted to attend a prestigious event at The House of Lords. Reece is one of only 30 students selected by West Nottinghamshire College to attend this event. The aim of event is to celebrate the college’s work with employers and apprentices with senior politicians and other like-minded colleges and employers.
Pyramid Press will take delivery of a Speedmaster XL 75-5+L in June. It has been specified with Inpress Control inline spectral measurement but it also has the ability to tap into the existing off press Image Control facility as needed.
The new press replaces a Speedmaster CD 74 and will give the company a significant lift in B2 capacity.
“With this press we expect higher productivity and, with that, the ability to meet the increasing pressures on turnround times. For our customers it means we can offer an even faster service, top print quality and value for money,” says Jonathan Smith, director of the Nottingham company.
Pyramid Press has specified five printing units and a coater. Although it had previously run a six-colour in B2 format a change in market demand means that the sixth unit is no longer cost justifiable. The company runs B1 to B3 Heidelberg equipment as well as offering a digital and NCR service.
“Heidelberg is a known entity. We know we are buying the best and customers know the Speedmaster reputation for quality. Buying a Speedmaster XL 75 is a solid investment,” says Mr Smith.
Operators have undertaken off site training at Heidelberg UK’s HQ in Brentford and will have further instruction at Pyramid Press at time of installation. The press will run two shifts a day to meet demand.
Pyramid is an environmentally aware company which runs primarily FSC Chain of Custody papers and which works in collaboration with the World Land Trust to carbon balance papers if customers require it. The Speedmaster XL 75 is an energy efficient press.
The likes of Google and Facebook have been busy telling brands that the most effective way to reach consumers is through digital communications. But whether they are sending out direct mail packs to stakeholders or running imaginative poster campaigns, the tech giants have learned that they cannot do without print advertising to connect with their audiences.
Our annual Christmas raffle, raised £250 for Emmanuel House. Emmanuel House exists to support homeless, vulnerable or isolated adults in and around Nottingham. We received this awesome ‘Thank You’ letter from Dennis Tully, their Chief Executive Officer. A big ‘Thank You’ to all our generous staff who purchased the raffle tickets, too.
When Anna at ILS English asked us to design and print their new Corporate Brochure it was a challenge we couldn’t resist. Although a brochure sounds quite straight forward there was an interesting twist. This brochure had to appeal to overseas students, some with limited or no experience of the English Language. ILS wanted to send out a clear message ‘Achieve your ambitions with ILS English Language Training and Nottingham is a great place to live whilst you are learning’.
We worked closely with Anna, Denny and the ILS Team for a number of months to achieve our joint goal. During the initial stages we produced different visuals and design concepts and discussed various print options. We explored brochure sizes, coated and uncoated materials, Pantone inks for vibrancy against CMYK conversions and finally Lamination and Spot UV effects.
It was a pleasure to work with the ILS Team and it was lovely to receive the following feedback.
“We are extremely pleased with our new ILS Brochure which has been designed and printed by Pyramid Press. Denny and I worked closely with Gary and Alistair through every stage of the design process. They listened to our requirements, discussed every detail and gave us the result we wanted”.
A massive ‘thank you’ to everyone who donated and sponsored us. We raised £563.75 for the charity Equation. Ken Stirling won the Champagne with an awesome guess of our collective time of 6hrs 45mins, only 6 seconds out!
